Request Account Deletion

We understand that you may wish to delete your account and all associated data from My Legacy Journals. This page provides instructions on how to request permanent deletion of your account.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

All your journal entries, including text, photos, and voice recordings, will be permanently deleted.
Your user profile, including name, email, bio, and avatar, will be removed.
Any affirmations, settings, and app preferences will be erased.
Data is permanently deleted immediately upon request. No data is retained after deletion.

How to Request Deletion

To request the deletion of your account, please follow these steps:

Open the My Legacy Journals app on your device.
Navigate to the Settings screen (tap your profile or menu icon).
Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account".
Confirm by selecting "Delete" in the alert dialog (this action cannot be undone).
The app will process the request and sign you out. Deletion completes immediately.

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before requesting deletion, export any important journals using the app's "Print Book" feature to generate a PDF. This ensures you keep a copy of your legacy entries.
