Why we built my legacy journals- Built from Real pain
I lost my mum at 6, and up till today, I still yearn to know things about her.
I know absolutely nothing about my mum. Who she was. What her life was like. Nothing. Except some diluted stories about how she was such a sweetheart.
Worst part??
My mum had a genetic illness — a unique type of severe, repetitive Pre-eclampsia in pregnancy — that ended up taking her life.
She lost her first child — a son — at 7 months of pregnancy and had to deliver the dead baby.
Then she managed to give birth to 2 more kids (myself and my younger brother) at 7 months each because she could never carry a baby to full term.And she finally died with her last pregnancy.
Guess what?20 years later, I got married… and HISTORY REPEATED itself.
I lost my first baby — a handsome, hairy baby boy
through oligohydramnios/Pre-eclampsia at 7/8 months.
Why?
Because of my unique genetic history, at just 100/80 BP, I was already having Pre-eclampsia. An information ONLY my birth mother would have known to pass down to me. One day we were fine, the next day, we weren't.
You see, my BP was different from others. My normal BP was always low — around 60/40 — so in pregnancy, 100/80 was already a RISK. But no doctor knew because they had no family history for me
Imagine my mum had kept a pregnancy journal? 
Imagine she had just one record of her story, her birth experiences — something I could have learned from before it was too late.
These and more are the reasons why I am building MY LEGACY JOURNALS — a place where you can create collections of your life stories, memories, and lessons… and make sure they can be passed down to the next generation.
It also features a trigger to send your journals, instructions, stories, your messages — directly to your next of kin.
